Responsible gambling support at Ultra is built around practical limits, account controls and confidential help. We explain the tools available to you, the signs that may call for a break and where to seek support in the UK.
The honest framing
Gambling is entertainment, not income. A win does not create a reliable source of funds, and losses should remain affordable within your household budget. Our role is to give you clear ways to control your play and to point you towards independent assistance when gambling stops feeling recreational.
Ultra is for adults aged 18 and over (18+). Anyone sharing a device with a minor should use parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio.
Behaviour that should prompt a break
Warning signs can appear in your routine rather than in the amount you spend alone. Consider pausing if any of these patterns become familiar:
- You are chasing a previous loss or treating gambling as a way to meet everyday expenses.
- You hide deposits, withdrawals or playing time from people close to you.
- You borrow money, use essential funds or feel unable to stop when the session ends.
- You play longer than planned or become irritated when your chosen games are unavailable.
- You feel anxious, guilty or preoccupied with gambling when you are not playing.
A short self-assessment
Answer these questions privately and without judging yourself. They are prompts for reflection, not a diagnosis.
- Have you played longer than you intended on a recent occasion?
- Have you deposited money you had set aside for another purpose?
- Do you feel unable to stop after a loss?
- Have you concealed your gambling from somebody close to you?
- Do you feel anxious or irritable when you try to take a break?
Our deposit and time controls
Ultra provides account controls that let you limit both money and access to playing. A time-out can run for 24 hours to three months. It ends automatically, although our customer support team can also reopen the account.
Self-exclusion is available for a fixed period of six months to five years. Once selected, the account cannot be reopened before that period ends. Indefinite self-exclusion is also available. A request to reopen it is subject to a seven-day cooling-off period.
Mandatory limits provide another way to manage your account. Use them alongside a personal budget rather than waiting until a session has already gone beyond your intended limits.
Practical limits that work
- Set a fixed deposit ceiling before opening a game and treat it as the total limit for that period.
- Use a time-out before a session starts, including for short breaks between games.
- Keep a separate payment account for entertainment spending and leave your savings untouched.
- Remove gambling shortcuts from your home screen and avoid opening games through repeated notifications.
- Record each deposit and withdrawal so your total activity remains visible.
- Ask someone you trust to support a break if repeated deposit limits are difficult to maintain.
